SECURITY FEDERAL BANK
The Security Federal Bank Building is located on Euclid Avenue in downtown Cleveland.
The three-story building has a very traditional marble & stone facade.

The
owners wanted a fresh new look for the common space of the building. This serves as the secondary entrance to the
bank and as a main entrance to the second and third stories.
The owners wanted the space to resemble an interior walkway, as though walking through a park.
They did not want any seating and said it was not going to be attended by a guard.
The
existing space was long and narrow and lacked any natural light, except right at the entrance door.
Our solution was to place a glass block wall to represent a window and to take a person on a more
indirect path to his destination. This
path is indicated by the angles on the floor and ceiling.
The project was selected from three designs by different architectural firms and was built by Blaze
Custom Construction of Hubbard.
