Casework is any item that is secured to a wall; for example, any kind of cabinetry.

The challenges in designing casework are twofold. First, we must understand the environment/space in which the casework will be placed. Secondly, we must understand the client's needs. In some cases, our clients know what they want but cannot find a solution in an ordinary line of cabinetry. This then directs them into producing something custom.

Custom casework is sometimes done without drawings, but the more complex the needs become, the greater the requirement for drawings.
