ENTERTAINMENT CENTER Our client commissioned our firm to redesign an existing lower level entertainment center because he was updating his stereo and television equipment.

This project was a challenge because the owner did not want to affect any of the surrounding surfaces that the casework was touching. All of the redesign had to occur in the same footprint of the original cabinet.

Another challenge was to coordinate with Audio Craft, the stereo experts, on the location and integration of all the stereo components. Many of the components are hidden within the unit.

An unusual material called Sur-Flex was used for resurfacing of the cabinetry. This material allows for curved surfaces to receive a durable and high luster appearance, without the labor intensive lacquer paint approach.
